What Does Rotary Do with Money Raised at Fall Fest?

Patrick Plantenberg

Chair Rotary Projects Sponsorship Committee

The Rotary Club of Townsend has one fundraiser every year- the Fall Fest! Any profits after expenses are paid from this year’s Fall Fest on October 4-6, will be used to fund Rotary projects from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. Fall Fest is one of the last free music festivals in Montana thanks to our generous sponsors. Rotary raises money through sponsorships, food and beverage sales, vendor fees, and car show fees.

What does Rotary do with the money raised at Fall Fest each year? Recent projects include:

• Help Fund New Heritage Park Playground Equipment

• Help Fund the Chamber’s New Digital Sign in Heritage Park

• Help Fund New High School Baseball Program

• Co-sponsor SafeSitter Classes with STOKE

• Sponsor Circus and Fund Kids under 12 to go to Circus Free

• Co-sponsor Bike Safety Rodeo

• Sponsor Students to Rotary Youth Leadership Award Camp

• Organize Slice of Summer Family Fun Events

• Help With and Fund Various Rotary-sponsored Interact Club activities

• Award Four BHS Scholarships

• Donations to Ag Appreciation Dinner, Broadwater Community Theater, Rodeo Club, and Food Pantry

• Help Fund Swimming Pool Lifeguard Training

• and more.

Rotary is busy preparing for Fall Fest. Rotary needs more sponsorships and volunteers to help with the event.
