The criminal docket for judge Kathy Seeley’s district court for Friday, Aug. 16, was as follows:

Joel Mullin-Romo had a hearing as a fugitive from justice for probation violation. Mullin-Romo is sought by the State of Wisconsin for two counts of Burglary of Building/Dwelling, Party to a Crime and two counts of Forgery, Party to a Crime. Mullin-Romo was arrested in Broadwater County on July 31, 2024, on charges of Obstructing a Police Officer and Probation Violation. He is currently in the Broadwater County Detention Center. The State of Wisconsin was seeking extradition.

Austin James Leinen made an initial appearance on several charges, including one count Partner/Family Member Assault and one count of Burglary, an Aggravated Felony, following an Aug. 1, 2024 incident in Broadwater County. According to case documents, Leinen allegedly broke into the home of his estranged wife and assaulted her and a man on the premises. A bond hearing has been set for Sept. 13, 2024.

Johnny T. Huffman, Jr., made an initial appearance on charges stemming from a Jan. 1, 2020 incident. He was charged with Assault with a Weapon, Partner/Family Member Assault-First Offense, Partner/Family Member Assault-Second Offense, felony Intimidation, and Tampering. His next hearing will be Oct. 15.

At her plea change hearing, Gerri Ann Lamphier pleaded guilty to Felony Driving Under the Influence, Misdemeanor Resisting Arrest, Failure to Carry Proof of Insurance-First Offense, and Driving while Suspended. The charges stem from a Feb. 24, 2024 incident. Sentencing was set for Oct. 15.

Lynn Sofil pleaded guilty to Criminal Mischief $1,500, Failure to Stop and Leave ID after Striking an Unattended Vehicle-First Offense, and Failure to Notify Owner after Striking an Unattended Vehicle-First Offense. She was sentenced to fines of $300, $100 suspended, and $400, with $100 suspended, and her driving license was suspended for 30 days.

Eric Turk was arraigned on charges of Criminal Endangerment, Driving Under the Influence-First Offense, and Failure to Signal. Bond was set at $2,500.
