Coach's Thoughts:
We had a great start to our District Tournament as we beat Lone Peak out of Big Sky with some tenacious defense. We were able to pound it inside to the tune of 54 points scored in the paint. Lone Peak was missing one of their starters due to illness, so that would contribute to some of their troubles. Rylan Hoveland had an exceptional game with his 3 steals, 4 rebounds and 20 points. Tavyn Anderson contributed 15 points and Tannen Tuffelmire netted 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds to help our cause. Trace was our big guy in the middle, grabbing 11 rebounds, where 5 of them led to fast breaks for our team.

Coach's Thoughts:
Our guys played the Three Forks Wolves pretty well, but we were plagued a bunch of fouls and too many turnovers. Tannen was able to score 14 points and capture 5 rebounds. Three Forks is a very physical team and when we got physical with them, it just resulted in fouls. They did go on to beat Manhattan for the District Championship and put us into the losers' bracket on Saturday morning. We did hold Three Forks to only 2 points in the second quarter and we were actually ahead 18-16 at the half, so we did make them a little nervous.

Ennis Turnovers- 8
Coach's Thoughts:
The Ennis game was on Saturday morning at 11:15 in Manhattan. We played a pretty clean game, except Ennis had six more offensive boards than we did and they made 4 more free throws than us. This would account for the five-point loss. We had a great rebounding effort from our team overall with Trace Giomi and Tannen leading the effort with 10 and 6, respectively. We just didn’t make our three-point shots, which has plagued us most of the season. Shooting is something we definitely need to improve on in order to have a winning season. On a bright note, these young men are so much fun to work with, as they are super respectful. They have a great work ethic, which made for a great practice and game atmosphere.
