BHS Speech and Drama Teams Are Successful at Speech Meets

On December 20th, the Bulldogs' Speech and Drama teams travelled to Choteau perform their pieces. The team has been practicing and perfecting their pieces for a few months and have already competed in three tournaments prior. The last tournament they attended, which was in East Helena on December 13th, showed a promising start to their season. At that meet, the Drama team won first place, and the Speech team placed second.
In Choteau, the Drama team won first place, and the Speech team placed third. Shalyn Sentinella placed first with her Original Oratory piece, which she wrote and memorized herself. Chloe Johnson also contributed to the speech team’s success with her 5th-place finish on her informative speech. As for the drama team, Tessie Hughes placed 4th with her mime piece. Hannah Hall performed a dramatic solo and placed 2nd, and Aiden Thompson finished 5th with his humorous solo piece. Angel Sentinella, Sarah Morgan, and Simon Sanchez performed a humorous theater piece and placed 5th. Noah Borror, Ava Boaz, and Lyrique Bryant also performed a humorous theater piece, and they placed 4th. Lastly, Anabell Kline, Zoe Osborne, and Lucas Feller performed a Classical Theater piece and placed 2nd.
This week, on January 10th, the Bulldogs Speech and Drama team will travel to Laurel to compete their pieces. The State meet will be hosted in Townsend this year on January 30th and 31st.
