The criminal docket in Judge Kathy Seeley’s courtroom on Friday, July 18, is as follows:

Nathanial Coulson had an Initial Appearance and Arraignment, pleading Not Guilty to charges of criminal possession of dangerous drugs. Omnibus is due by September 19; Pre-Trial is set for February 20, 2026, with the Jury Trial scheduled for March 16, 2026.

Samuel Cooper had a bail modification, to no avail. The Judge denied his ask.

Brad Heath had an Initial Appearance, pleading Not Guilty to a charge of theft of property, a common scheme. Omnibus is due by September 19; Pre-Trial is set for February 20, 2026, with the Jury Trial scheduled for March 16, 2026.

Willie Schmidt had an Initial Appearance and Arraignment on a charge of criminal possession with intent to deliver meth and fentanyl, and a charge of criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. Omnibus is due September 5; Pre-Trial is set for December 5; with the Jury Trial scheduled for January 5, 2026.

Dennis Hinchey had an Arraignment. Omnibus is due September 12; Pre-Trial is set for January 16, 2026, with the Jury Trial scheduled for February 9, 2026.

Michael Taylor had an Initial Appearance and Arraignment; pleading Not Guilty to charges of DUI, danger to a highway worker, and open container. Omnibus is due September 19; Pre-Trial is set for February 20, 2026, with the Jury Trial scheduled for March 26, 2026.

James Normand had a Change of Plea; pleading Guilty to a charge of DUI (4+). In his elocution, he stated that while driving in Broadwater County, he had a blood alcohol content of over .08. A Pre-Sentence Investigation is ordered. Sentencing is September 19.

McKenna Nabor had a Suppression Hearing. Two deputies, Rauser and Grimsrud, stopped the vehicle because it was speeding, and it couldn’t seem to stay in its lane. Deputy Grimsrud noticed the open container in the vehicle. Judge Seeley said that she would take the evidence under advisement and make a ruling later.
