The Rotary Club of Townsend awarded four scholarships to some of our best community service oriented students for successfully achieving academic excellence and exemplifying, by their conduct and service in the community, the highest ideals of Rotary.
The Frank Holloway Scholarship of $2,500 went to Addison Kraft, who has been a very successful Rotary Interact officer for several years. The Holling-White Scholarship of $2,000 was awarded to Anna Beatty, the ever-positive 4-H President extraordinaire. The Chris Wright [Trade School] Scholarship for $2,000 went to Amanda Pesicka and the Mel Potruff Scholarship of $1,500 to Kaelyn Sangray, both also superb individuals.
We want to thank all of the applicants for their time and effort in applying for these scholarships, as they all are outstanding students and have been involved in so many activities in their school and our community that selecting the winners was tough for the board. Congratulations and best wishes to our senior high school graduates as they pursue the next chapter of their lives!
