Here are our last Players of the Week for this school year!
Tennis: Emily Bird and Liz Collins capped off a tremendous high school career with a runner-up finish at state.
Boys Track: Nolan Flynn participated in both of his events at state. Distance runners this year were deep with some exceptionally fast athletes and Nolan had no problems running with this pack. Nolan ran a time of 4:47.99 in the 1600m and a time of 10:35.99 in the 3200m.
Girls Track: Kaitlyn Noyes put on an amazing performance at State. Not only did she break her own school record in the long jump, but she also broke the All-State Class B record. She jumped 18'2" and 18'4.75" but due to the wind, these would not count towards the All-State record. Eventually, the wind died down and she was able to jump an 18'0.5" to grab the All-State Class B record! She was also part of the 4x100m relay team running a new school record, again this year, of a time of 49.82 and the 4x400m relay running a 4:16.68. She also tied her high jump PR by jumping 5'0", running a time of 13.28 in the 100m dash, and triple jumping a new PR of a distance of 36'0.25".
State Girls Team: This group of girls did not disappoint this weekend. All year this group has provided each other with encouragement, support, and teamwork. It has been a joy watching this group of girls lift each other up and inspire one another. With amazing leadership and determination, these girls were able to earn themselves a 3rd-place state trophy.
Way to go Lady Dawgs!
