Resident Speaks Out On Townsend Health Care Merger

Re: St Pete's Townsend office closing. Typical of St. Pete’s CEO Wade Johnson- he has chosen to close an office that isn't making a profit.

The Townsend clinic has been serving our community for years. It's convenient for those of us who are elderly and don't like to drive to Helena, especially in winter. Also, it better serves those who work, so they do not have to spend hours taking off work or school.

Not everyone likes or is comfortable with Billings Clinic in Townsend. St Pete's apparently has a shortage of new doctors, so taking new patients in Helena is a problem: the first appointment I could get was July 2027! I was told I could get in to see a PA or RN sooner or could go to urgent care. I am sure Wade Johnson knew this was going to cause problems if he closed the clinic on such short notice. But apparently money speaks louder than good patient care. My opinion.
