As another school year gets underway, we are excited to welcome both new and returning families to Rocky Head Start! Every year, we're reminded how special it is to be part of a child's first school experience. From the first day of school to the last, we have the privilege of watching children build friendships, discover new interests, solve problems, and grow into confident learners.

Rocky Head Start proudly serves 125 children and their families throughout Lewis & Clark, Broadwater, and Jefferson Counties. With classrooms located at the Neighborhood Center, Helena Learning Center, Helena Housing Authority, Valley Center, and Townsend, we're honored to be part of so many communities across our service area.

Head Start is so much more than preschool. We provide high-quality preschool at no cost to eligible families, while also supporting children's health, development, and social-emotional growth. Our program includes nutritious meals and snacks, developmental and health screenings, family support services, mental health resources, and individualized learning experiences designed to help every child thrive. We believe children learn best when families and schools work together, and we're proud to partner with families every step of the way.

As we begin this school year, we still have openings for children in several of our classrooms. If you know a family with a preschool-aged child who could benefit from a caring, engaging, and no-cost early learning program, we'd love to hear from them. Sometimes the best referrals come from friends, neighbors, and family members who have experienced Head Start firsthand.
