Rotary Relieves Financial Pressure Off Water Pressure Worries!
Author: Patrick Plantenberg, Rotarian

Article Published: // Volume: Edition:

The Rotary Club of Townsend has donated $10,000 to help needy individuals and families in Townsend who need to have a water pressure relief valve installed. When the new water tower is finally turned on in September, increased pressure in water lines could break some old water lines. The money will be used to give $200 to 50 individuals or families that need financial assistance to install pressure relief valves. Only six people have applied so far.

Please tell your neighbors and friends and especially those on fixed incomes that the money is available to help cover the expense of replacing the water valve. If a water line breaks when the water tower is turned on, the cost of fixing flood damage from a broken water line will be much more expensive than replacing the water valve now.

If you need more information and to apply for financial help, please call Rotarian Patrick Plantenberg at 406-431-4615 or contact JB Howick at Townsend Hardware.

The money supplied by Rotary is from profits raised by Rotary at Fall Fest.
