Too Much Bad, Still Plenty of Good!

It seems like there are too many bad things going on in the world, but don’t worry, because there are far more good things going on that just aren’t being reported! The old saying, “If it bleeds, it leads,” is true. Our freedom of the press and of speech is used against us. Every day, the news stations report all the trash and horror that they think people really want to hear about.

Unfortunately, some of the most wonderful and beautiful goings on are drowned out. You don’t have to look in only specific magazines or watch only certain news shows. The stories on the side lately are giving real hope for all Americans. If you put aside many denominations of religion, the message of Basic Christian values is rising! People of faith are not being drowned out. The basic message of God’s love is still strong and growing stronger!

Around here you can see and feel it, with all the great things people are doing to help others. Even with this intense heat, folks will still throw a bucket of water on you if you are on fire. (Also to help you cool off, that’s what I really meant.) Sorry I get distracted easily…squirrel. Townsend has a very close-knit community, and people will work together to achieve any goal. People are now gathering together to help out our local eating establishments that are having trouble finding steady workers. NICE!

Our Faith is strong here; on any early morning you can feel the love of God in every sunrise. A cool breeze on a hot day is most welcome. When the smoke rolls away (stay strong, it will leave), you can look up and marvel at our beautiful “Big Sky”. The cool of the evenings is to be shared and enjoyed. Watch around our neighborhoods - see our local folks walking in the evening, reveling in the cool evening air. Relax, the frozen winds are still a few months away!

August is a warm month, but it brings a small hint of Autumn coolness. Enjoy our warm weather, travel a bit, and see Montana. Lately, many tourists are flocking to our shops, finding all the special things they didn’t even know they needed. (I happen to know of a small book shop in an “Eclectic Emporium”). Stay hydrated and healthy even through our Montana “smog”. It too shall pass. Shop local, walk around, and see/talk with local friends and acquaintances. After visiting a bigger city, you will appreciate our town so much more.

Remember, slim down; all the wonderful food “goodies” are coming during Fall Fest. Prepare.

All for now, stay well, oh my people.
