Lorene Williams, age 88, of Townsend, a loving mother, sister, and friend, passed away May 23, 2026 in Sun City West, AZ with her family by her side.
Lorene graduated from high school in Jackson, KY in 1956. She married Bertum Williams in Bays, KY on September 1, 1957 and celebrated 68 years of marriage. They had three children. She was a dedicated member of the Eastern Star for 50 years and traveled to Europe as a Navy wife. Lorene loved fishing, hunting, camping, mowing the yard, but most of all she loved working in her garden.
Lorene is preceded in death by her parents Daely Roark and Bessie Back Roark; her husband Bertum Williams; and a daughter Brenda ‘Gail’ Borninkhof. She is survived by her sons Mike (Tina) Williams and Harold (Linda) Williams; grandson Kenny (Kristina) Borninkhof; granddaughter Richelle (David) Borninkhof; and a great granddaughter Gracie.
A Graveside Service is scheduled for 12:00 p.m., Monday, August 17, 2026 at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery, Fort Harrison. She will be laid to rest with her husband Bertum.
