The 4-H Building at the Broadwater County Fairgrounds recently received a significant seating upgrade thanks to the generosity of local organizations, community members, and volunteers. Six new metal tip-and-roll bleachers have been installed, replacing several of the aging white wooden risers that had become cracked, splintered, and increasingly difficult for renters to move and set up.
This project was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Broadwater County Fair Board 4-H Liaison and Broadwater County 4-H Council President Karen Noyes, who worked alongside MSU Extension Agent Allison Kosto to secure funding for these new bleachers.
The Broadwater County Fair Board extends its sincere appreciation to the Broadwater Community Foundation for providing grant funding to support this project. Additional financial contributions were generously provided by the Broadwater County 4-H Council, Toston Blue Ribbon 4-H Club, Crow Creek Clovers 4-H Club, Winston Eager Beavers 4-H Club, Old Baldy 4-H Club, and the Broadwater County Fair Board.
The project would not have been complete without the dedication of numerous 4-H families and volunteers who donated their time and effort to assemble the bleachers. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Jennifer, Todd, and Andrew Beatty; Todd and Aiden Kitto; Jason and Karen Noyes; Teresa Raisland; Daniel Truesdell; Adam, Roxanne, Kathryn, Zola, and Teddy Six; and Kelsey, Jasen, and Elliana Rose. Their teamwork and willingness to volunteer made quick work of assembling and helped bring this important improvement to the 4-H Building.
These new bleachers will provide safer, more convenient, and more comfortable seating for the many community events held at the Broadwater County 4-H Building for years to come. More bleachers will be purchased as funding allows. If you would like to donate to the ‘bleacher project’, donations can be made through the Broadwater County 4-H Council (416 Broadway St, Townsend).
