Steven Dale Hines, 66, of Riverton, Wyoming, passed away on June 20, 2026, at SageWest Hospital in Riverton, Wyoming. Steven was born on December 16, 1959, in Columbus, Montana, to Paul Gary and Gwen Karen (Rogstad) Hines.
Steve enjoyed golfing, riding his bicycle, playing pool, and spending time visiting with family and friends. His family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the staff of C.E.S. in Riverton for the care and support they provided Steve over the years.
He is survived by his son, Bryce Edward Gary Hines, and wife, Simone, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; brothers, Jerry Hines and wife, Rose, of Thermopolis, Wyoming, Mike Hines of Lodi, California, and Ken Dahl and wife, Bea, of Sacramento, California; sisters, Terri Morrison and husband, Scott, of Helena, Montana, and Kristi Kresge of Helena, Montana; aunts, Sharon Hines of Fort Washakie, Wyoming, and Coleen Rogstad of Spirit Lake, Washington; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ashlee Megan Hines; his parents, Paul Gary Hines and Gwen Karen Rogstad Hines; grandparents, Paul and Peg Hines and Fred and Martha Rogstad; and his brother-in-law, Dave Kresge.
A celebration of life will be held at The Mint Bar in Townsend, Montana, on Saturday, June 27, from 3:00 pm-7:00 pm. Come have a drink, eat some food, and share a story about Steve.
