Becky Lynn Hand

Family of Becky Lynn Hand

Becky Hand died peacefully in her home in East Helena on June 6, 2026. The progression of her COPD finally overwhelmed her. While the COPD took a toll on her body, it never dampened her spirit. She was 68.

Becky was born in Mount Clemens, Michigan on December 19, 1957, to Marcia Grubbs. The early part of her youth was spent in West Yellowstone before eventually moving to the Helena Valley. She attended schools in East Helena and Helena.

Becky was a bartender/waitress for most of her adult life, working in establishments in Helena, Bozeman, Havre and Great Falls. The majority of her early career was at the Hofbrau in Helena, where she met many people, not all of whom she could name, but she could tell you what their favorite drink or lunch order was.

Becky loved camping and sitting around a fire, and had a soft spot for cats and dogs. Her favorite was her pug, Hobo.

Becky is survived by her husband, Dave Hand, and children Mike (Erin) Vetsch, Jennifer (Paul) Cogley, Larissa (Kevin) Ward and Lindsay (Chris) Kenison, along with 6 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Marcia and Paul Nichwander.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to staff at St. Peter's Hospice for their help and support during this incredibly difficult time. Their guidance was truly invaluable. Additionally, the staff at St Peter's Cardio/Pulmonary Rehab were a wonderful source of comfort and companionship for Becky these last several years.

No service is planned at this time.
