10th Annual Broadwater County-Wide Yard Sale

How time flies! It doesn’t seem possible that this is our 10th annual Broadwater County-Wide Yard Sale. This year, the County-Wide yard sale will be on July 18, 2026.

The first County-Wide yard sale was in June 2017. We did not know what to expect – we advertised in the Helena Independent Record and the Broadwater Reporter. We also posted the event on Townsend Classifieds.

We had an incredible turnout for the County-Wide yard sale. We had a lot of people from the Helena area and the Gallatin County area. I spoke to one couple that had come from Livingston.

Over the years, we have expanded our advertising. We now advertise in the Independent Record (and that also runs in the Butte Standard and the Mini-Nickel papers) as well as MT43News, Meagher County News, Boulder Monitor, the Monitor - East Helena, Whitehall Ledger and the Three Forks Voice. We also post on Facebook: Townsend Classifieds, White Sulphur Classifieds, Boulder Classifieds, Whitehall Classifieds, Three Forks Classifieds, Helena Classifieds, Butte Classifieds, Anaconda Classifieds, and the Deer Lodge Classifieds. Post the event on the Helena Events site, Butte events site, townsendmt.com community calendar and the Bozone Events Site.

There is NO cost to be included in the Broadwater County-Wide Yard Sale. If you want to include your garage/yard sale, you just need to contact Pam at 406-422-7028 or email her at pamrsample@gmail.com.

The week before the County-Wide yard sale, I create maps showing every yard sale that has registered with us. Since it’s a large physical area, in order to show each yard sale, I have to generate several different maps. Last year, there were six different maps showing the different areas of Broadwater County.

In addition to the physical maps, I create a Google Earth Interactive map showing all of the yard sales. While you do have to have Google Earth installed on your laptop, tablet or phone to use the map, it is kind of fun to use.

The printed maps will be available FOR FREE at the Reading Leaves bookstore and at the Bird’s Nest. We will have the printed maps available by July 15. The maps will also be available online at https://mt43news.com/YardSaleMaps. We will accept registrations to be on the map through July 17. While yard sales registered after July 14 won’t be on the printed maps, they will be on the online maps.

Remember, it is FREE to join. We do all the advertising, you hold the yard/garage sale, and you keep ALL the profits.
