On May 20th, the Rotary Club of Townsend invited members from the White Sulphur Springs and Helena Rotary clubs to the Lodge of Townsend for a potluck dinner. Rotary tries to meet with the White Sulphur Club annually for a social get-together. This is the first time members of the Rotary Club of Helena were invited. Over 40 people attended the fun evening.

Each club highlighted the activities they participate in to raise money for projects to help their local communities. Clubs sharing activities is a great inspiration to get new ideas.

The highlight of the evening was Jeff Langlinais, Rotary Club of Townsend member and District Governor Elect Nominee of the Montana Rotary District 5390, receiving a Paul Harris Fellow award from Rotary Club of Townsend President Doug Sitton.

A Paul Harris Fellow is an individual who contributes at least $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation, Rotary’s charitable foundation that funds Rotary projects. Established in 1957, Paul Harris Fellow recognition honors individuals who demonstrate the spirit of service that Paul Harris, the founder of Rotary, embodied.

Congratulations Jeff.
