William Frank ‘Bill’ Furois, of Helena, Montana, left this earth on May 11th, 2026.
Bill Furois was a Cut Bank farmer’s son made good, born on March 18th, 1945. He graduated from Montana State University with a bachelor’s degree in Statistics. He also served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War.
His professional life after college and army service was with the state of Montana, as a statistician, as a budget analyst, and eventually as a deputy director of administration for the Montana Department of Corrections and as a member of the Governor’s budget office. After retiring from working for the state of Montana, Bill spent much time and effort with the Montana Disabled American Veterans.
He was preceded in death by adoptive parents Prudence and Emma Furois. He was survived by his wife Claudia, his sons Scott and Stephen, and by his daughter Michelle (Mitchell).
Services will be at Fort Harrison, on Monday, May 18th, at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Montana Disabled American Veterans would be greatly appreciated.
