Girls' Tennis Team Has Successful Dawg Bite Tournament

On the first day of the Dawg Bite tournament, May 8th, the Bulldogs dueled Baker at home. After that, they celebrated Senior Day and played games with the Fort Benton team.

The dual against Baker was very successful for the Bulldogs as they won 5 matches and lost 2. Harper Wolfgram played at singles 1 and lost a tough match 2-6 and 4-6. Bella McDaniel played at singles 2 and won her match 6-2 and 6-4. Jacey Brunette played at singles 3 and lost a close match 6-3, 5-7, and 8-10 in the tiebreaker. Hailey Hildreth won her match at 4 singles, 6-4 and 6-3. As for doubles, Chloe Flynn and Bryleigh Erickson won their match at doubles 1, 6-0 and 6-1. Addy White and Nayal Mendoza played at doubles 2 and won their match 6-3 and 6-3. After that, Kylee Warburton and Avery White won their doubles match 6-4 and 6-2.

The team took the time to recognize their only senior, Harper Wolfgram, for the time and commitment that she had given to the program. After that, the team ate lunch, then played games with the Fort Benton team.

The next day, Saturday, May 9th, the Bulldogs travelled to Helena. First, they dueled Wolf Point, Chinook, and Granite. Harper Wolfgram played a tight match against a Granite opponent, and ended up pulling out the win 6-2, 7-6, and 7-2 in the tie breaker. Kylee Warburton played Granite and won her match 6-4 and 6-2. Avery White won her match 6-2 and 6-3. Bryleigh Erickson and Chloe Flynn played Chinook and won their match 6-3 and 6-2.

The Bulldogs played their second round against Red Lodge, Choteau, and Fairfield. Avery White won her match against Choteau 6-2 and 6-2. Bryleigh Erickson and Chloe Flynn played against Choteau and won their match 6-3 and 6-2. Addy White and Kylee Warburton won their match against Red Lodge 6-2 and 6-3. Then, Kay Crush and Avery White won their match in a tie breaker, 6-3, 3-6, and 10-6. Bryleigh Erickson and Chloe Flynn won a close match against Fairfield, 3-6, 6-4, and 10-2 in the tie breaker.

Overall, the Bulldogs had a very successful tournament. Next up, the Bulldogs will travel to Missoula to compete in the Best of the West tournament on May 15th and 16th. The Divisional tournament is slated to be held in Belgrade.
