In an upset in the Townsend School District #1 board trustee race, Jean Hodges, a grandmother who is new to Townsend, has won a seat on the board.

She ran against Jason Kool and Chase Ragen for a three-year term. Both Kool and Ragen are incumbents.

Hodges amassed 794 votes, Kool received 1,020 votes and Ragen received 648 votes.

Results came in from Angie Paulsen, Elections Administrator, late Tuesday night.
