Tennis Teams Play in Billings

On Friday, May 1st, the Bulldogs tennis team travelled to Billings to play in the Billings Invite tournament. More than ten teams played. The Bulldogs were able to dual 6 teams and tied one of them.

The first dual was against Three Forks. The Bulldogs won 6 matches and only lost 2. Jacey Brunette won her match at one singles in a tie breaker, 6-4, 2-6, 11-9. Harper Wolfgram won her match at two singles 6-2 and 6-3. Bella McDaniel won her match at 3 singles 6-2, and 6-2. Nayla Mendoza won her match at four singles 6-2 and 6-3. Emma Delgado played a tight singles match, but lost in a tie breaker 6-3, 4-6, and 7-10. Bryleigh Erickson and Chloe Flynn won their doubles, one match 6-3, and one 6-2. Kylee Warburton and Addy White won their doubles match 7-5, 3-6, and 10-3 in the tie breaker. Avery White and Haedyn Poe played a close match, but lost in a tie breaker 6-3, 4-6, and 7-10.

The Bulldogs played against Baker and the Bulldogs tied with the Spartans, winning 3 matches each. In singles one, Jacey Brunette lost her match 3-6 and 4-6. Arabell McDaniel played two singles and lost her match 4-6, and 4-6. Harper Wolfgram won at the singles 3 spot, 6-4 and 7-5. Nayla Mendoza played at singles 4, and won her match 6-3 and 6-2. In doubles, Bryleigh Erickson and Chloe Flynn won their match 6-2 but were only able to play one set.

After that, the Bulldogs played a mixed team of Forsyth and Granite girls. They won four matches and lost 3. Jacey Brunette played singles one against Granite and lost her match in a tie breaker 2-6, 7-5, and 3-10. Haedyn Poe played singles against Granite but lost her match 2-6, 2-6. Emma Delgado played singles against Forsyth and lost 4-6, 4-6. Avery White played singles against Granite and won her match 6-3, and 6-3. Hailey Hildreth won her match against Forsyth and won 7-5. For doubles, Bryleigh Erickson and Chloe Flynn played a close match against Forsyth, winning in a tie breaker 5-7, 6-4, and 10-5. Addy White and Kylee Warburton won their match against Forsyth 6-4 and 6-3.

The next duals were on Saturday, May 2nd. The Bulldogs played Red Lodge first and won 4 matches and lost 2. Harper Wolfgram played at singles one and won her match 6-3 and 6-4. Hailey Hildreth played at singles two and won her match 7-5, 3-6, and 10-6 in the tie breaker. Nayla Mendoza lost her match 3-6 and 4-6. Haedyn Poe lost her match 3-6 and 4-6. Chloe Flynn and Bryleigh Erickson won their match 6-2 and 6-2. Addy White and Kylee Warburton beat their opponents 6-3, 6-2.

In the next dual, the singles played Jefferson, and the doubles played a mix of Red Lodge or Wolf Point. Jacey Brunette lost her match against Jefferson 4-6, 3-6. Arabella McDaniel lost her match 4-6, and 3-6. Harper Wolfgram lost her match 4-6 and 4-6. Hailey Hildreth won her match 6-2 and 6-3. Bryleigh Erickson and Chloe Flynn played Wolf Point and won their match 6-1. Addy White and Kylee Warburton won their match 6-2 and 6-3.

The Bulldogs took on Lone Peak and Poplar in the last match of the tournament. They won every match. Hailey Hildreth won her match against Lone Peak 6-4 and 6-2. Jacey Brunette won her match against Poplar 6-2 and 6-2. Bella McDaniel won her match against Poplar 6-2 and 6-2. Nayla Mendoza won her match against Lone Peak 6-2, and 6-2. Harper Wolfgram and Chloe Flynn played Poplar and won their match 6-2 and 6-2. Addy White and Kylee Warburton won their match against Lone Peak 6-4 and 6-2. Lastly, Emma Delgado and Haedyn Poe won their match 6-2, 4-6, and 10-8 in the tie breaker.

The tennis team will host the Dawg Bite tournament in Townsend and Helena on May 8th and 9th.
