Yes, the Easter Bunny really did come to Radersburg on Saturday. The bunny (Madelyne Truesdell) herded kids to hunt eggs, and helped toddlers find eggs.

The event, originally organized some years ago by Leslie Heisey, is hosted by the Radersburg Community, according to Jackie Smith. She and 4-H members stuffed 900 plastic eggs with candy Friday night. The most coveted eggs were found by hunters who won Easter baskets provided by the group. The winners were toddlers division: Sawyer Sanderson, ages 4-6; Kaisley Gullickson, ages 7-9; Oakland Lawson and ages 10-12; and Rhylee Hitchcock.

As the 11 o’clock hour drew near, grandparents, parents, kids and dogs gathered at the starting line. Within a minute and 90 seconds, the entire event was over. Jackie invited all to come to the lunch feast provided by community members. Smith commented that they served around 60 people.
