With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth Ellen Myles, known by all as Libby. Libby, 61, of Townsend, Montana, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 25th, 2026, after complications from a pancreatic infection. Libby was born on June 2nd, 1964, to Joseph Victor and Norma Faye Myles. She was born and raised in Helena, Montana, where she graduated from Capital High School in 1982.

Libby worked mainly in customer service, where her natural ability as a people person allowed her to thrive. Throughout her life, she sought out any opportunity to help others in need. She held fundraisers, assisted with various functions and personally supported countless friends/family members in many ways. Her latest adventure was where she found her true happiness – a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting survivors of Domestic Abuse.

She met her first love Ken, and they got married in 1989. Together they had four children: Kristina, Kelly, Anthony and Alex. Sadly, she lost her husband Ken in 1994. Her youngest daughter, Kayla, was born after Libby married her second husband, Scott.

Libby is reunited in heaven with her father, Joe, and her late husband, Ken. She is survived by her mother, Faye, her siblings, David (Cindy), Joanie (Steve), Raymond (Stephanie), her five children, Kristina, Kelly, Anthony, Alex (Chelsea), Kayla (Jacob) and her seven grandchildren, Madison, Lilly, Riley, Hadley, Jeremiah, Grace and James. Libby also leaves behind a brokenhearted, supportive group of relatives, including Aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as countless friends.

Libby had an ambitious personality, and she was committed to supporting and serving others wherever she could make a difference. She had an impact on each person she interacted with. She was kind, loving, caring, funny, selfless and full of life. She had a gift for making everyone feel seen and valued. Libby had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. She found peace in doing what she loved, whether it was camping, exploring the hills, or paddleboarding on the lake but she especially enjoyed making lasting memories with friends and family. She was loved by all and, in return, loved others just as deeply.

A Celebration of Life service and reception will be held on April 25, 2026, at 1 pm at Townsend Fairgrounds in the 4-H building. 189 US Hwy 12 E Townsend, Montana 59644.
