For our community’s school children who take part in acting, the thrill of hearing “3,2,1 and ACTION” stays with them throughout their lives, shaping who they are and how they think about the world.
Broadwater Community Theater (BCT) has been bringing theater, music and art to Broadwater County’s homeschooled and public school children since 1996. This year BCT will bring Missoula Children’s Theater’s Hercules to Townsend Schools in March. In early August, all children who are interested can take part in an original production. There are scholarships available to Grand Street Theater for kids kindergarten through 8th grade.
To finance these important theater offerings, BCT will be hosting the always fun St. Patrick’s Day Fun-Raiser Saturday, March 14, at the Lodge. Pat Plantenberg, also known as “Elfrado,” will host the event, which will feature silent auction trips and activities. Helena Handbasket will provide Irish music for jigs and reels.
