Bulldog Basketball Hosts Jefferson Panthers in Conference Matchup

On Thursday, February 12th, the Bulldogs played the Jefferson Panthers at home. The Bulldogs hope to improve their record for seeding in the district tournament coming up soon.

The C squad girls played a half game and ended the game down 2-16. Ella Toney scored the Bulldogs' only points.

The junior varsity girls’ game was also a loss for the Bulldogs, 24 to Jefferson's 64. Ella Toney scored 7 points, Emily Taves scored 5 points, and Kymber McCartney scored 4 and shot 100 percent free throws.

The girls’ varsity game was a tight race. In the end, Jefferson pulled away and won the game 55 to 44. Kaitlyn Noyes scored 21 points to lead the Bulldogs, and Emmalin Fischer scored 11 points.

The boys’ junior varsity game was another close match-up, but Jefferson pulled away at the end. The Bulldogs lost 40-45.

The boys’ varsity game was a great game. After losing to the Panthers earlier in the season, the Bulldogs beat them 62 to 55. Tavyn Anderson led the Bulldogs with 26 points and 5 steals. Tannen Tuffelmire contributed 16 points and 7 rebounds. Rylan Hoveland scored 9 points and had 4 assists. Trace Giomi helped the Bulldogs, too, with 7 points and 8 rebounds.

Bulldogs Basketball Hosts Ennis Mustangs in last Conference Game

The Bulldogs basketball teams played Ennis on February 14th. This was the last conference game for the Bulldogs before the district tournament. After beating Jefferson, the boys' varsity team had 5 wins 7 loss record. The girls' varsity also had a 5-7 record.

The C squad boys played a half game and beat the Mustangs 15-11. The last game for the C squad boys, the C squad girls, the Junior Varsity boys, and the Junior Varsity girls will beon February 20th against Big Timber.

The Junior Varsity boys also won their game 57-34.

The Bulldogs boys' varsity team pulled out a win against Ennis after losing to them earlier this season. The end score was 57 to the Mustangs 40. Tannen Tuffelmire led the Bulldogs with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Tavyn Anderson also contributed 12 points and 4 steals. Colby Flynn scored 10 points, and Rylan Hoveland scored 8 points.

The C squad girls played a half-game and lost 12 to the Mustangs 39. Ella Toney led the Bulldogs and scored 12 points.

The junior varsity girls lost their game 30-72. Kymber McCartney and Tevyn Newman both scored 8 points, and Ella Toney scored 4.

The varsity girls’ game was a tight race up until the end. The Bulldogs and Mustangs were within 3 points of each other for most of the game. At the end, the Mustangs pulled away and won the game 53 to 51. Kaitlyn Noyes scored 26 points, and Bryleigh Erickson scored 14 points.

Next week, on February 20th, the Bulldogs will play the Big Timber Herders for the last game of the regular season. This is a non-conference game. The boys’ varsity team will head into districts with a conference record of 6 wins and 7 losses. The girls’ varsity record is 5 wins and 8 losses.
