Five Bulldog Wrestlers Advance to All-Class State Championships

Your Townsend Bulldogs High School wrestling team attended the 2026 Western Class B/C Divisionals Tournament held at the Butte Civic Center February 13th and 14th. A total of 22 teams showed up to battle it out and secure a place at the Montana State tournament.
With only 7 wrestlers competing in the event, the Dawgs finished strong with an overall team placement of 7th. Five of those 7 will go on to the All-Class State event at the MetraPark Center in Billings February 19-21.
Jace Wellenstien and Nick Humphreys both battled hard on the mats, losing out in their blood round, falling just short of qualifying for State.

144# - Parker Hunt Divisional Champ
190# - Lane Bantz took 3rd Place
285# - Gavin Schmele Divisional Champ
235G# - Gabby Rico took 2nd place
