BULLDOGS TRAVEL TO MANHATTAN

On Thursday, February 5th, the Bulldogs basketball teams travelled to Manhattan to play the Tigers in a conference matchup. Last time they met up, the varsity girls beat the Tigers, and the varsity boys lost in a close game.

The C squad boys' game started the day off, and the Bulldogs lost 47-60. The Junior Varsity boys had an exciting game and finished above the Tigers, winning 53-52. Heston Vandenacre led the Bulldogs with 20 points, and Rylan Hoveland scored 10 points. The C squad boys team and Junior Varsity boys have 3 games left this year, February 12th, 14th, and 20th. After that, their season will be finished.

The Varsity boys' game was also an exciting game, but the Bulldogs lost 51-63. Tavyn Anderson led the Bulldogs, scoring 20 points. Tannen Tuffelmire scored 11 points, and Trace Giomi scored 7 points. Trace Giomi also helped the Bulldogs with 7 steals and 2 offensive rebounds.

The C squad girls played a half game and lost to the Tigers 12-14. Ella Toney led the Bulldogs by scoring 10 points, and Hannah Hildreth had the other 2.

The Junior Varsity girls also fell short, losing their game 31-50. Ella Toney scored 11 points, Kymber McCartney scored 9 points, and Tevyn Newman scored 6 points.

The Varsity girls' game was a roller coaster. The Bulldogs and Tigers exchanged leads throughout the game, but the Tigers ultimately ended up winning 62-58. Kaitlyn Noyes led the Bulldogs with 27 points, and Bryleigh Erickson had 10 points.

BULLDOGS FIND SUCCESS AGAINST LONE PEAK

On Saturday, February 7th, the Bulldogs varsity teams travelled to Big Sky to play the Lone Peak Bighorns. These were conference matchups, and both teams hoped to win their game in preparation for the district tournament soon.

The Bulldogs ended up winning the girls' varsity game 63-51. Kaitlyn Noyes led the Bulldogs, scoring 17 points. Emmalin Fischer followed with 16 points, and Bryleigh Erickson had 13 points.

The boys' game was an exciting win for the Bulldogs: 63 - 53. Tannen Tuffelmire scored 19 points to lead the Bulldogs, and Rylan Hoveland scored 11 points and had 3 steals. Tavyn Anderson scored 10 points and had 5 rebounds.

Next, the Bulldogs will host the Jefferson Panthers on February 12th and the Ennis Mustangs on February 14th. Both games are conference matchups and will help determine the rankings for the district tournament at the end of February.
