Weekend Doubleheader for Ball Teams Against Ennis and Boulder

On Friday, January 16th, the bulldogs travelled to Ennis to play the Mustangs. The boys’ varsity had a previous conference record of 1-3, with a win against Whitehall. The girls’ varsity started the weekend with a 3-1 record, with wins against Lone Peak, Whitehall, and Manhattan.

The boys C squad game was the only win the Bulldogs had on Friday. They defeated the Mustangs 41 to 30.

The boys Junior Varsity game was close, but the Mustangs pulled away at the end, winning the game 67-50. Jim Tew was the leading scorer in this game with 19 points. Tyzer Rains had 8, and Heston Vandenacre and Dallas Fligge both had 6.

The Varsity boys game ended in a loss for the Bulldogs, 38-64. Tannen Tuffelmire scored 16 points, and Tavyn Anderson scored 9. Tannen Tuffelmire and Colby Flynn also had 4 rebounds, leading the team.

The C squad girls’ game was a loss for the Bulldogs also. They scored 26 points to the Mustangs 59. Ella Toney led the Bulldogs, scoring 17 points.

The junior varsity girls’ game ended in a loss to the Mustangs, 22 to 63. Ella Toney scored 8 points to lead the Bulldogs in this game also.

The varsity girls’ game was a tough loss to the undefeated Mustangs. The Bulldogs fell short with a score of 43-79. Kaitlyn Noyes scored 16 points, and Emmalin Fischer scored 12.

Bulldog Basketball Teams Travel to Jefferson

The Bulldog basketball teams travelled to Jefferson to play the Panthers on Saturday, January 17th.

The C squad girls played a half-game, and it ended with the Panthers winning 25 points to the Bulldogs 6. Ella Toney scored 4 points, and Addy Mosher scored 2.

The girls’ junior varsity game was a loss for the Bulldogs, 21-56. Kinsley Heggen scored 5 points, and Kymber McCartney, Ella Toney, and Emily Taves all scored 4 points.

The varsity girls' game started out close, but the Panthers were able to pull away at the end, and they won the game 66 to the Bulldogs 44. Kaitlyn Noyes scored 21 points to lead the Bulldogs, and Emmalin Fischer followed with 12.

The C squad boys’ team lost to the Panthers 53 to 33.

The Junior Varsity boys lost their game 43 to 76. Colby Flynn scored 9 points, Pierce Howard scored 8 points, and Koleby Clark, Dallas Fligge, and Heston Vandenacre scored 6 points each.

The varsity boys lost their game 37 to the Panthers 77. Trenton Hoveland scored 10 points, Tannen Tuffelmire scored 8 points, and Bryce Lessley scored 6 points. Colby Flynn had 8 rebounds, and Tavyn Anderson had 6.

After this weekend, the girls' varsity conference record is 3 wins and 3 losses, and the boys’ varsity record is 1-5 in conference play. On Thursday, January 22nd, the Bulldogs will travel to Whitehall to play the Trojans. After that, the Bulldogs travel to Three Forks on Friday, January 30th, and Big Timber on Saturday, January 31st.
