Broadwater High School Student Council will host a public blood drive, according to Kaitlin Noyes, blood drive chairperson. In conjunction with the American Red Cross, the blood drive will be open Monday, January 28, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the high school.
Students ages 16 and 17 can donate with signed parental consent. The red cross suggests donors make appointments by calling 800-733-2767 or entering BHS to schedule an appointment.
Kaitlyn encouraged both students and members of the public to get involved and give blood: “The event involves planning, communication, advertising and responsibility by Student Council members to create a welcoming, trustworthy event for the entire community.”
