Bulldogs Basketball Teams Host Lone Peak Bighorns

On January 8th, the Lone Peak Bighorns travelled from Big Sky to play the Bulldogs basketball teams. Since the Bighorns only had varsity teams, the Bulldogs' C squad girls and boys Junior Varsity teams played teams from Jefferson. There are not many teams with C squad girls, so this was a good opportunity for the Bulldogs C squad team to play.

The C squad girls’ game against Jefferson ended with the Panthers winning 41-26. This was the Bulldogs C team’s second game this season, and they showed improvement. Ella Toney led both teams, scoring 20 points. She made two three-pointers, and Kymber McCartney also made one.

The boys'Junior Varsity game against Jefferson resulted in a loss for the Bulldogs 55-64. Heston Vandenacre and Colby Flynn led the Bulldogs with 12 points, and each made two three-point shots. Jim Tew scored 11 points and had 6 rebounds.

Next was the girls’ Varsity game, and the Bulldogs beat the Lady Bighorns 61 to 30. Kaitlyn Noyes finished the game with 27 points, and Bryleigh Erickson had 18.

The boys’ varsity game started close, but the Bulldogs were able to pull out the win, 58 to 43 in the end. Trenton Hoveland led the Bulldogs with 16 points, and Bryce Lessley had 15 points. Tavyn Anderson also helped the Bulldogs, scoring 13, and Tannen Tuffelmire scored 12 points.
