Broadwater County Christmas Connection is a non-profit group that helps those in need within our community to receive gifts and a Christmas dinner during the Holiday Season. Last year, we were blessed to be able to help 54 families, which included 105 children, with the help of our supporters in Broadwater County. This is accomplished through donations and our ice cream fundraiser at the rodeo each year.
Anyone in need of help this year can get applications and return them to The Reading Leaves Bookstore. The final deadline to turn in applications is December 13th. We are looking forward to helping your family have an amazing Christmas.
Food boxes include foods like a turkey or ham, potatoes, rolls, stuffing, vegetables, fruit, a dessert mix, milk, eggs and more.
The Angel Tree, which goes up the day after Thanksgiving at Reading Leaves Bookstore, has tags that people in our community can take to buy a specific toy for a child.. Please return these gifts, wrapped, to Reading Leaves Bookstore by December 17th.
Other gifts are typically donated by another group out of Helena. Starting this year, we will no longer be getting this gift donation. We are working hard to make sure the children in need still get an amazing Christmas, and we need your help. We have put out cash donation cans at Bob’s Supermarket. Additionally, we have put boxes out at several locations within our community for toys and other gifts to be donated. Those boxes are at Townsend Drug, Townsend Hardware, The Bunkhouse Bar, Big Bull Bar and Grill, Family Dollar, The Mercantile, Trailhead Church, Faith Baptist Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and Mountain West Trading Post. We will be collecting these boxes and cans on December 14th.
The pickup day for applicants is December 20th at noon at the Firehall in Townsend.
