Farm-to-table event on October 21 brings together six local restaurants, area farmers, and community members for unprecedented culinary collaboration.

Greater Helena Food System Coalition will host the third "The Longest Table" community dinner on bringing together local restaurants, farmers, ranchers, and residents for a celebration and raising awareness of the region's local food production and culinary talent. The community-focused event will feature dishes from six beloved Helena establishments: 10 Mile Creek Brewery, Helena Food Share, The Union, The Hopper, and Sunflower Bakery. Each participating restaurant will create special menu items using fresh, locally sourced ingredients provided directly by Montana farms and ranches.

"This isn't just a dinner – it's a celebration of the incredible network of producers, creators, and community members that make Helena's food scene so special," said Logan Smith, Community Director for Old Salt Co-op and Longest Table Committee Member. "We want to create connections between the people who grow our food, the chefs who transform it, and the neighbors who enjoy it together."

Building Community Through Shared Meals: The dinner format encourages conversation and connection, with seating arrangements designed to facilitate new relationships and strengthen existing community bonds. Attendees will have opportunities to meet the farmers and ranchers who provide ingredients, as well as the chefs who craft the evening's dishes. Helena Area Food System Coalition Members are St. Peter’s Health, Resilient Helena, Old Salt Co-op, Montana Farmers Union, Helena Food Share, and individual members Sydney Dickerson, Mark Juedeman, and Margaret Corcoran.
