Volleyball Teams Play Nearby Teams Over the Weekend

On Thursday, October 9th, the Bulldogs C squad, Junior Varsity, and Varsity Volleyball teams traveled to Boulder to play the Jefferson Panthers. The Bulldogs Varsity are 5-0 in conference play so far and Jefferson has the second-best record in the conference.
The C squad team lost to Jefferson, 13-25, 12-25, and 4-15. Alex Bakken led the team in aces with 2, and Avery White and Ella Toney followed with one each. McKenna Weaver led as far as digs with 7, and Avery White followed with 5.
The Junior Varsity game also ended in a loss for the Bulldogs, and the scores were: 11-25, 13-25, and 11-25. Claire Swanson and Sophia Lamb each had a block. Sophia Lamb led the team in kills with 4 and Savannah Paulsen had 3. For assists, Tevyn Newman had 7 and Gracie Ragen had 4. Kinsley Heggen led the team in digs with 9, and Tevyn Newman followed with 8.
The varsity game ended in a win for the Bulldogs, extending their conference record to 6-0. They beat the Panthers 25-20, 25-20, and 25-15. Kaitlyn Noyes led the team with 4 aces, and Bryleigh Erickson had 6 blocks. Aspen Slyker led the team in kills with 14, and Kaitlyn Noyes followed with 12. Holly Newman had 19 assists, and Bryleigh Erickson had 17. Emmalin Fischer led the team in digs with 17, and Holly Newman followed with 15.
On Saturday, October 11th, the Bulldogs volleyball team travelled to Three Forks to play the Wolves. The Bulldogs ended up sweeping the Wolves, with the C squad, Junior Varsity and Varsity winning their games.
The C squad game ended up with the Bulldogs winning 12-25, 25-12, 15-7, and 15-6. Brinley Eggers led the team in blocks with 2, and Makenna Weaver had 1. Makenna Weaver led the team in aces with 5, followed by Ella Toney who had 3. Brinley Eggers led the team in kills with 9, and Alex Bakken and Molly Hall each had 2. Ella Toney tallied 8 assists, and Makenna Weaver had 8 digs to lead the team.
The Bulldogs Junior Varsity ended up winning the game in four sets: 23-25, 25-10, 15-5, and 15-3. Sophia Lamb led the team in blocks with 5. Kinsley Heggen, Savannah Paulsen, and Gracie Ragen each had 2 aces. Tevyn Newman and Gracie Ragen both had 13 assists. Sophia Lamb led the team in kills with 11, Tevyn Newman had 6, and Louie Parr and Savannah Paulsen had 5. Tevyn Newman led the team in digs with 7.
The Varsity team beat the Wolves in three: 25-10, 25-14, and 27-25. Sophia Lamb led the team in blocks with 3, and Bryleigh Erickson and Harper Wolfgram followed with 2. Holly Newman led the team with 4 aces. She led the team with 26 assists. Kaitlyn Noyes led the team in kills with 16. Emmalin Fischer led the team in digs with 15, and Holly Newman followed with 14. The Bulldogs’ next game will be against Whitehall on Tuesday, October 14th, at home.
Manhattan travels to play the Bulldogs on Thursday, October 16th, for Pink Night.
