Townsend’s sweetest fall tradition is back!
On October 31st, the Townsend Area Chamber of Commerce invites families, friends, and neighbors to join in the annual Ghost Stroll and Trunk or Treat—a beloved event that transforms downtown Broadway into a festive, candy-filled celebration.
Here’s what you need to know to make the most of this year’s spooky soirée:
* Street Closure & Check-In Details
Broadway will be closed to traffic from Pine Street to the courthouse starting at 4:15 p.m. If you’re planning to participate in Trunk or Treat on Broadway, be sure to check in with the Chamber in the dirt lot in front of City Hall beginning at 3:45 p.m. Early check-in ensures your spot before the street officially closes and the fun begins.
* Event Timeline
The festivities kick off at 4:30 p.m. and run until around 7:00 p.m.—or until the last piece of candy is handed out! Bring your best costumes, your trick-or-treat bags, and your community spirit.
Family-Friendly Fun, Rain or Shine.
As always, the Ghost Stroll and Trunk or Treat are open to all ages and designed with families in mind. Whether you’re a young ghoul, a teen witch, or just young at heart, there’s something for everyone. And don’t let the weather scare you away—this event goes on rain or shine!
Safety & Parking
With Broadway closed from Pine Street to the courthouse, please plan accordingly for parking and allow extra time to walk to the event. The street closure helps ensure a safe environment for all our little goblins and ghouls.
This annual tradition is sponsored by the Townsend Area Chamber of Commerce, dedicated to fostering community spirit and bringing neighbors together.
Mark your calendars, gather your costumes, and get ready for an evening of frightful fun and sweet treats in the heart of Townsend. We’ll see you on Broadway!
