Please Cut Down Weeds Before Fall Fest!
I have never seen so many unmown yards and uncontrolled weeds in Townsend since I moved here in 1991.
Recently, I have helped the Rotary Club clean up the highway right-of-way south of town. The Tree Board has been pruning trees, weeding the parks, cutting down dead trees, and planting new ones in preparation for Fall Fest.
The City Crew has also been doing some trimming and clean-up around town. I have also seen individual citizens doing their part. Tony Mistek, Tim Poole, and several others have been observed mowing, pulling weeds, cleaning sidewalks, etc.
Please help beautify the community by cutting down the weeds around town before Fall Fest, October 3-5, 2025.
