America Is Not Mcdonalds!

America is Not McDonalds!

Just because the present resident of the white house has been getting things done very swiftly, doesn’t mean everything will be done now! Other than our fast-food factories, things in life take a bit of time. Especially if we have to have 1,400 people who need to look at something before it can move on and be put into law. Much of these acts/events involve economics.

We see our prices not going down as fast as we would like. Well gee, maybe the rest of the world has a bit to do with this. We can cut out programs and restructure our economy, but everything is interwoven like an old horse blanket. Note: other countries are different! They have their own way of dealing with their economies. Be glad we are not still using the old system of paying people in huge stone wheels or salt. When you take away a few things, then add in a couple more people have to look at what they are going to need to do to make ends meet.

Years ago, the President of Russia, I think it was Brezhnev, visited America. He wanted to see inside one of our grocery stores, when he walked around and saw the different types of food, we have available he started crying. When one of our officials asked him what was wrong, he said: “I see what Russia could become, what my people could have, if we didn’t have Communism”. Suddenly complaining about our slightly higher prices doesn’t seem so bad.

Yes, we deal with several problems in life but if we only look at what we have it all seems to even out. Our separate parties seem to be constantly at each other’s throats, instead of working together to solve problems! (One group likes to sing in public, like a demented choir.) One problem I will wholeheartedly agree on is, with all the preservatives in our food it seems like it is making our fellow Americans go completely crazy! (One senator even met with the Joint Chiefs about him worrying about the people who live on the island of Guam. That if they all walked to one side of the island, the island would tip over!) Some things you just can’t make up.

So, hold on for a few months all will be better. Campaign promises are one thing, getting them done is a whole different ballgame. It’s this thing about dealing with people that gets messy. Want to see how really great we have it in America? Go into any food store, look in the produce section at all the different types of apples they carry. Most of the world is starving, and we have apples for every taste.

Take a breath, never mind the different political parties and just breath deep of our clean mountain air. Enjoy our hot summer’s end, look at all the flowers around town. All is well!
