This summer and fall, Montana Learning Center at Canyon Ferry Lake invites you to journey Beyond the Big Sky—a monthly stargazing series like no other! From June through September, experience the wonders of the universe under some of the darkest skies in the Northwest.
Each evening begins with an inspiring presentation by a renowned guest astronomer, sharing expert insights and cosmic discoveries. Afterward, enjoy hands-on telescope viewing (weather permitting) with guidance from MLC staff and the Helena Astronomical Society.
Gaze through Montana’s largest public-access telescopes and learn to observe the night sky like a true astronomer. Whether you're a seasoned stargazer or simply curious about the cosmos, this event offers awe, learning, and connection under the stars.
