Historic Canton Church Hosts Spurlock Vow Renewal

On Saturday, July 5, 2025, the historic Canton Church hosted the vow renewal ceremony of Clancy and Johnny Spurlock. They are celebrating 10 years of marriage. The weather looked pretty questionable for an outside ceremony about 1:00 pm, but it cleared up and was a beautiful afternoon for the ceremony.

The ceremony started at 4:00 pm and was presided over by retired Justice of the Peace Gary Olson and was held in the park area in front of the Canton Church. The “bride” and attendants were beautiful and the “groom” and groomsmen were all handsome!

The Canton Church was built in 1875 in the town of Canton and was relocated to its current location in 1952 when Canyon Ferry Lake flooded the Canton Valley. For more information about the Historic Church and our summer events, visit our website at https://canton-church.org.
