Broadwater County’s Solid Waste Department is an Enterprise Fund, as MCA requires. An Enterprise Fund is a dedicated financial account used to manage and operate the county’s solid waste management and operational system. It’s funded by user fees and charges rather than general tax revenues and operates much like a private business. This allows for more detailed accounting and budget management. General funds can NOT be used for an Enterprise Fund.
Broadwater County Public Works would like to thank the citizens of Broadwater County for being patient with the changes in Solid Waste. We have worked hard to make it fair for all county residents. Please be civil and polite to site attendants. As questions arise, feel free to contact the Public Works office. Contact info is TJ Graveley - (406) 266-9207 tgraveley@broadwatercountymt.gov or Misty Masolo - (406)266-9212 mmasolo@broadwatercountymt.gov.

The Road Department is grading the lower roads in the valley. They will transition to the mountains in the next few weeks. June and July will be busy for the Road Department, as two (2) milling jobs are scheduled.
The first milling project is on Airport Road. Bullock Construction will do the milling of the runway and the surrounding area. This will be a much-needed improvement to our airport.
The next project will be in southern Broadwater County. MDT will mill both lanes of I-90, from the intersection of HWY 287 and I-90 to the East side of the Three Forks exit. Eustice Road will receive the millings, roughly 1 mile along the subdivision. The second road will be Price Road, from the end of the asphalt towards the west, towards the Jefferson County line.
We will put the millings on about 6” thick so that they will hold. Please use caution when you are in these areas; the roads will not be closed to allow residents access to their homes.
Have a safe summer!
