Crow Creek Road Closed for the Summer
Author: Chiara Cipriano, Helena-Lewis & Clark National Forest Service
In a release from the US Forest Service, work began June 2 [through September 30, 2025, per the website below] to improve the condition of Crow Creek Road, increasing ease of access to the Elkhorn Mountains. With heavy machinery activity, the project will require a temporary road closure through the end of September to ensure safety for the public and workers.
The closure will impact 19 miles of Crow Creek Road (Forest Service Road #424). During this time Crow Creek Falls Trailhead will not be open by vehicle. Visitors staying at Eagle Creek Guard Station should plan to access it via Indian Creek Road. For more information or if you have questions, please call (406) 266-3425.
