Hallelujah
I think last week there was too much news, so they didn’t have space for my article. Not a problem time to drive on! Thank you, heavenly Father, for this life-giving rain, I love cooler weather and especially rain/mist/FOG! - Not wind, though, but we just have to deal with that.
Not sure why I love FOG, it was from an experience way back in 1971. If you see me on the street, stop and ask me about it, I love talking with locals on the street. It’s SOooo small town folks. FUN!
As I mentioned last week, I have started the dance of spring. Watering (Which will be on hold while God waters the earth, rain brings the GREEN!) Our town is greening up, but still a beautiful snowpack on Mount Baldy. In case you haven’t noticed the wonderful Bee people are buzzing around every blossom, and they should be left alone to do their thing.
I ran into a couple of Military guys in a local restaurant the other day and when I went to pay our bill, I was told they paid it! This is incredibly outstanding. The patriotism in our area is fantastic. It really brings home the feeling of America, and ALL of us Veterans thank you! I have heard (NOT around here) a couple of people complain about Veterans wanting a benefit from stores and restaurants. NO, the only real benefit is being able to come home from war!
Back to the rain, there is just something special about being out in the rain and walking around town saying hello to local folks, it’s even better in the snow but that won’t be for a while…Right?
There is a new bookstore in Townsend, called “Wise Dan’s Books.” (No, the owner is not named Dan, you will have to ask him.) It’s right beside The Mint. Go check it out. Also, you have probably noticed the Full Beli Deli is back open too. Great food! (I am a BIG fan of their beef sticks.) Leave some for me.
Keep watch around town, at all the beautiful flowers starting to bloom. I’m sorry if they make you sneeze. Driving around looking at the gardens is like looking at Christmas lights every year, only warmer.
Stay well, folks. Spring seems to bring out the sniffles, spring colds are the worst. Just when you can go outside to enjoy the weather, you get a cold! EAT oranges, take Vitamin C, be healthy.
I think the wind is scaring the squirrels. They are staying inside the feeder to eat. Watch also for dogs running loose, most are not vicious but they just like to leave behind “surprises” on our lawns. Kitty-cats are ok, they just walk around not caring about much of anything. The term “Cool Cat” is true!
Please be safe doing your yard work. Stay well my Readers, let me know if you like my articles, I love writing them!
