Judy A. Sharp, age 77, of Townsend
February 6, 1948 – April 12, 2025
Judy Angela Hunsaker Sharp, left this earthly life April 12, 2025, at the Billings Clinic Broadwater Nursing Home.
Judy was born on February 6, 1948, in Rupert, Idaho, to Elzarus Levon Hunsaker and Kathern Wheatley Hunsaker. She joined her two older brothers, Allen Kent and Cecil W., and three older sisters, Lavon, Diana and Karen, and was later joined by sister, JoAnn and brother, Elzarus LeGrande. Judy’s family moved to the Crow Creek Valley, Toston, Montana in 1949. She went to the Crow Creek School, grades one through eight, and continued her high school education at Broadwater County High School in Townsend, Montana. After graduation, Judy attended Kinman Business College in Spokane, Washington. While in Washington, she met and married Russell Sharp. They were blessed with two sons, Lanny Sharp and Jamie Sharp. Judy and Russell later divorced. She loved the warmer climate of Arizona and that is where she lived until October 2019, when she came to live with her sister and brother-in-law because of poor health and loss of sight. Since May of 2022, Judy has been lovingly cared for at the Billings Clinic Broadwater Nursing Home.
Judy has a gift for music, she could play the piano like JoAnn Castle from the Lawrence Welk Show. She made the piano “Rock”. She loved her sons and grandchildren with all her heart.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Kathern and Elzarus Levon Hunsaker, brothers, Allen Kent and Cecil W. Hunsaker, brother-in-law John Gardiner, sisters, Lavon Hunsaker Gardiner and Karen Hunsaker Berg.
She is survived by sons, Lanny Sharp (Barbara) of Phoenix, AZ and Jamie Sharp (Keri) of Spokane, WA; grandchildren, James W. Sharp (Rosie), Kayli Contreras and Gracie Sharp; great grandchild, Lexi Sharp; brothers, Elzarus LeGrande Hunsaker (Martha), brother-in-law, Roy Berg (Peggy), sisters, Diana Bruce (Andy) and JoAnn Price (Rick) and many wonderful cousins, nephews and nieces.
A Family gathering will be at the Deep Creek Cemetery.
