We’re about a month away from State Convention and it has definitely been a year! I’m so proud of all the things we’ve accomplished this year and all of the memories we’ve made. As we continue to practice and prepare our state teams, I continue to look forward to seeing how well our progress pays off at state. However, Career and Leadership Development Event Practices aren’t the only things members of the Broadwater FFA Chapter have been doing.
On February 6th, 2025, we had our first-ever FFA-sponsored career fair. We invited several local businesses to come and talk to students in hopes of finding them summer jobs. If students had meaningful conversations with business representatives, their names were written on a card and they were entered in a drawing for a gift card to a local business. I think this was a super successful event, especially for our first one and I would love to do it again in the future.
On March 1st, 2025, members of the Broadwater FFA Chapter were servers at the Broadwater Conservation District’s Ag Appreciation Dinner. We also held our silent auction which is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Thank you so much to businesses who donated items and to students who made items to be sold in the silent auction. We do this every year and it’s always a great experience.
As I wrap up my final report for the 2024-2025 year, I want to congratulate members of our chapter for all of their hard work and accomplishments this year. Good luck at state!
