Hold up - I think it is time for a break from the normal and time for reintroduction to those who are new to MT43 News and therefore new to Notes from North Dakota. My name is Kayla and I am a 2024 graduate from Townsend High School. I have lived in the Townsend area ever since I could remember and this fall I moved to Fargo, ND to pursue a B.S. in Animal Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Agribusiness. When I was preparing to leave Montana, I knew that I didn’t want to stop writing and providing information to the community that had given so much to me in my time growing up. Luckily, I was able to work with the amazing people at MT43 News to create Notes from ND.
Notes from ND is a column for all ages; however, I focus my attention on high school upperclassmen considering pursuing college or trade school, parents worried about their child leaving for higher education, and adults who are curious about the college track of life. My articles commonly include updates on what is going on in the month, tips and tricks to make college life smoother, and life skills I have learned along the way and that have helped me to grow in my years at NDSU.
I want to provide answers to the questions the Broadwater community has in the best way possible; content that is worth reading weekly and sheds light on topics that may not be talked about as much or that have encouraging impacts on you. This sounds amazing, but there is one problem. Because I do not live in Townsend as of right now, I cannot hear feedback as much as I used to. I created a QR code and link to a Google Forms survey. Nobody will be able to see your responses, including me; the form is completely anonymous and only takes about 5 minutes. Thank you, Broadwater County, for everything you do and I can’t wait to cover more college life topics with you!
