York's Islands Fishing Access Site Closed Due to Flooding

TOWNSEND – York’s Islands Fishing Access Site near Townsend has closed due to flooding and unsafe access conditions.
An ice jam on a section of the Missouri River has caused ice and water to flood the site’s boat ramp, campground and other areas. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks will lift the closure when conditions allow.
Additional site closures are in effect or may be required later for other sites around the state, depending on weather and river flows.
Recreationists are encouraged to use caution when visiting rivers because of unseen hazards, as well as flow and ice conditions that can change suddenly.
