Correction to February 14 Public Safety Mill Levy Renewal Article
Broadwater County Sheriff Nick Rauser
The February 14 issue of MT43News reported in its Sheriff’s Department Mill Levy page 1 story that the Sheriff’s Department received 34.4 percent of the county’s floating property mills last approved by voters in 2020. The story should have read: County Commissioners provide the sheriff’s department with 34.4 percent of all floating mills allocated to the county. The levy is for 39.93 mills, the same amount as the 2020 levy. The Sheriff’s Department’s current allocation is $ 1.1 million. It would remain the same under this renewal.
