The criminal docket in Judge Micheal McMahon’s courtroom on Friday, February 14, is as follows:
Curtis Smith had an Arraignment; pleading Not Guilty to charges of burglary, assault (causing bodily injury), and criminal mischief. Omnibus is due by April25; Pre-Trial is set for July 25; with the Jury Trial scheduled for August 18.
Jack White was Arraigned on multiple charges. Three counts of assault with a weapon; three counts of criminal endangerment; two counts of criminal mischief and one count of obstruction of a police officer. Omnibus is due by April25; Pre-Trial is set for July 25; with the Jury Trial scheduled for August 18. A Bond Hearing will be February 28.
Kristina Peek had a Change of Plea; pleading Guilty to criminal possession of dangerous drugs. In her elocution, she stated that she knowingly possessed psilocybin in Broadwater County. A Pre-Sentence Investigation is ordered. Sentencing is March 14.
Tanner York had a Sentencing on a conviction of theft and criminal mischief. A Pre-Sentence Investigation was submitted. York submitted a change of address to Great Falls Adult Probation and Parole. He is Sentenced to pay $15,184; a 10% administration fee; $80 fees and surcharges and a $50 Pre-Sentence Investigation fee.
Joseph Thompson had a Change of Plea; pleading Guilty to an amended charge of criminal endangerment and a charge of partner/family member assault. In this elocution, it was said that in Broadwater County, he entered his mother’s house and shoved her, causing her pain when she fell to the ground and causing danger of severe injury. A Pre-Sentence Investigation is ordered. Sentencing will take place on April 11.
Bert Ginsberg had a Change of Plea on two cases. The first case revolves around a stolen truck in Broadwater County. In his elocution, he said on March 1, 2024, that his co-defendant, John Hansson, came to him to get a ride home, after stealing the F150 and setting it on fire to impair the availability in the the investigation of the stolen truck. In May 2024, he was stopped in Broadwater County while driving; knowingly possessing methamphetamine. A Pre-Sentence Investigation is ordered. Sentencing will take place on March 14. Judge McMahon commented that Ginsberg is doing well in Behavioral Health Court.
