The beginning of 2025 has been an incredibly successful year so far for the Broadwater FFA chapter! I’m so excited to announce that so far, we have 9 Career Development Event and Leadership Development Event teams getting ready to compete at our state convention in April!

We started 2025 off strong on January 6th, when we hosted our annual Greenhand Night to officially induct our new members into FFA. Now that these members have their Greenhand Degrees, they can apply for higher degrees in the future, if they choose to do so. We had thirteen Greenhand members this year which is the most our chapter has ever had.

On January 20th, several FFA members competed at our Southwest Speaking District Contest in Three Forks to compete in Creed Speaking, Ag Sales, and Parliamentary Procedure. Our Parliamentary Procedure team consisting of Alex Bakken, Emma Delgado, Cheyanne Douglas, Kaitlyn Noyes, Ashley Sanderson, and Madison Zaharko got 2nd place and got to move on to state. Our Ag Sales team consisting of Aiden Kitto, Amanda Pesicka, Gavin Schmele, and Madison Zaharko placed 3rd and will also be advancing to state.

Lastly, on February 3rd, members Kaitlyn Noyes, Ashley Sanderson, and Madison Zaharko got the opportunity to go to the Capitol in Helena, MT to showcase what we do in FFA and meet with Governor Gianforte. The Gardiner and Stevensville FFA Chapters attended as well as Reagan Long, the 1st Vice President of the Montana FFA Association. Other organizations including FCCLA, BPA, and Skills USA attended as well.

Overall, I think the month of January and the first week of February have been truly amazing. As we continue practicing and preparing for state, I look forward to the accomplishments of our chapter members. Keep up the great work!
