Three-Peat Champions! 🏆🏆🏆 We are beyond proud to announce that our drama team has won the Class B State Championship for the third year in a row at the state tournament in Huntley Project on Saturday, February 1! đźŽâś¨ This incredible achievement is a testament to the team's hard work, dedication, and passion for performance. Every member contributed to this well-earned victory, and their talent shone on the state stage once again. A huge thank you to our coaches, families, and supporters for being part of this journey. Congratulations to our unstoppable drama team—you’ve made history! 🎉
Wrestling:
Trenton Dales is athlete of the week. Trenton earned this title this week by bumping up a weight class in the Copper Shamrock and winning a big match for the Bulldogs. He has also been working his heart out in practice every day. I can tell he has his eyes set on the podium this weekend in Butte so he can punch his ticket to state.
Girls’ Basketball:
Cassidy Flynn. Cassidy is a senior and had a busy week of basketball. First off were the Fairfield Eagles on Tuesday. While Cassidy struggled to hit a shot, she helped the team with hard defense, only giving up one foul and having three defensive rebounds. While the team didn’t win against the Eagles, they kept up their intensity. During practice, Cassidy doubled down to work on her shot and it showed on Thursday against the Three Forks Wolves. Cassidy nailed 11 points, 3 three-pointers and 1 two-pointer. She also played hard defense, with only two fouls and six defensive rebounds, which contributed to the Wolves’ defeat. Cassidy didn’t stop there, lighting up the three-pointers for a total of 18 points on Saturday against the White Sulphur Springs Hornets. She also contributed two offensive rebounds and three defensive rebounds in the team’s win against the Hornets.
Boys’ basketball:
Sawyer Horne had an amazing game against the undefeated Fairfield Eagles. There is a lot of strategy going into a game when you have to deal with really good talent from an opposing team, and the coaching staff decided that Sawyer would give us the best chance we had guarding Fairfield's best scorer. Not only did Sawyer guard their best scoring option, he was our best scoring option! Sawyer had an outstanding game on the offensive end as well, scoring 17 points. Not only did he hit shots all night, he was very clutch at the free throw line when the game mattered the most going 6/6. He is a player that never gives up on any play and is a spark when we need it down the stretch. Congratulations Sawyer!
