Broadwater Community Theater Offers Theater Scholarships

Broadwater Community Theater will again offer two summer camp scholarships to Grand Street Theatre summer camp July 14-25. The scholarships are for students entering third through 8th grades in September, 2025.
Two Townsend Elementary School students will learn and expand their theatrical skills through workshops with professional artists, play games and make friends. The camp will conclude with a final showcase performance on the final Friday of the camp. Marianne Adams, education director, emphasizes: No previous theatrical experience is necessary, just a desire to play and to try!
Grand Street staff and other cool people teach stage combat, theatre sports, costume hat making, sidewalk chalk, lighting and theater technology. Students receive a tee shirt and two free tickets to the showcase on Friday.
Scholarship applications are due April 1, 2025.
While the camp is paid for in full, the student’s parents or guardians must be responsible for transportation to and from the camp throughout the two weeks the camp is in session.
